LESBIAN FRO-YO

There's this fantastic frozen yogurt place in West Hollywood that I love! At one point after I'd moved here, I was between apartments, and I stayed with a good girlfriend of mine for a few weeks while apartment hunting. We frequented the frozen yogurt place together sooo much that the little Asian lady who runs the place thought that we were a lesbian couple!! I realized this one night when I stopped by the shop alone on my way home from work and ordered two yogurts to go. She said "Oooohhh...this one for your girlfriend" with a naughty wink. I was so caught off gaurd I just laughed and said, "yeah it is." What do I care if she thinks we're lesbians? She always gives us a great discount!!

So we now refer to the place as "Lesbian Fro-Yo".

Eventually, after staying with my friend for a while I found an amazing apartment in Venice, RIGHT across the street from the beach. I was SOOO excited!! I couldn't believe that I would be able to walk to the beach!! This was a dream come true for me!!!

The next time I visited Lesbian Fro-Yo I told the shop owner that I probably wouldn't be in as often because I was moving to the West Side. She asked where, and I said "I found this great apartment in Venice just a block from the beach!!" She made a sour face and said, "Oooh, by the beach. Sooo cold over there. Too cold." She sort of shuttered as if she was cold just thinking about it -As if she couldn't imagine any place worse than the DREADED BEACH! "And what about your girlfriend?" she asked.

I told her we broke up. It was just easier.
